Application Process

Because we are doing a joint application process with the Right Brain Initiative, you will find the application materials on the Regional Arts and Culture Council Website. The application will appear as a grant. Please read through the steps below carefully prior to starting your application.

  1. Applicants will start by creating an "Applicant Profile" on the RACC website. If you have previously applied for a RACC grant, you will already have a profile.

Follow these links to create an account in the RACC Grant Portal, or log-in to your existing account.

  2. Once your Applicant Profile is complete, you will be given the option to "View Grants" at the bottom of the page. Click the blue "View Grants" button to access all open opportunities including the Teaching Artist Application.
  3. The application will ask you questions about your teaching artist practice, and will ask for a sample lesson plan and residency budget (you will receive a confirmation email) A
  4. At this point, your application will be reviewed by a panel looking at the specific art mediums and criteria we are hoping to fill.
  5. In-person interviews will be scheduled for candidates in late May/early June.
  6. Chosen candidates will also be asked to complete an in school observation in early June to share their work (specific information will be provided at that time)

Teaching Artist Application will be open until May 16th
