Blending the music and dance of traditional Native American culture with the contemporary dance styles of hip-hop, jazz, lyrical and tap, Northstar Dance Company and Moveo Performing Company collaborate to bring to young people this truly original and engaging performance. Five contemporary dancers and five Native dancers share their heritage, traditions and performing styles. Students develop an awareness of Native cultural history and diversity through an exciting combination of performance, narration and participation.
